The internet goes down here, in the hotel room. It crashes without warning. It’s one of the parts of Abu Dhabi that is more Third World than First. Phones, communications … they can be erratic.

Anyway, this site is supposed to auto-save every minute or so … but given the history of this service, I should have copied the entire file I had finished … before trying to post it … but I didn’t. I got cocky. It had worked more often than not lately, and I hit the “publish” button before I thought about it …

And by the time I got back online … the whole post was gone.

Fortunately, Leah wrote about the same topic. Not the same approach, I’m sure. But the same topic — looking for an apartment.

So I’m referring you over there today because I’m not going to spend another hour writing.
