I know the world is clamoring for this. Pictures of the living area of where we now live, in Abu Dhabi, with the new Ikea couch/chair/ottoman in the place.

The ones with the electric blue couches/chairs … those are what it looked like when we arrived, having moved about 40 yards around the corner from our old place.

That blue stuff is out. The landlord took it away, and I’m thinking not far. They seem to store most extra furniture in the passage ways that separate the apartments. Actually, just outside the  kitchen window of the Teeny Apartment was a sort of “old furniture graveyard.”

Anyway, we like the white stuff much better, even if it seems to stain/get dirty just by looking at it.

And we have the picture of Paris up. We waited till we had decided on the best layout for the living room before hanging that.

So, yeah, sort of a monochrome room. But it’s a huge improvement on what we were doing before.
