Not a fan of tattoos. Seems like a form of self-mutilation, generally.
And then there is this thing.
Which is a bunch of Dodgers history inked into a guy’s back.
A reader sent this along, and the art is so good here that sometimes it is almost possible to forget that 1) it’s on a person’s back and 2) it’s on a back most of us usually would not want to see. That guy is not exactly sculpted.
But he is inked.
That is, of course, Jackie Robinson, on the left. And Vin Scully on the right. From about 60 years ago.
Most of this is Brooklyn Dodgers stuff, including the trolley, lower left, that was the source of the team nickname. The Trolley Dodgers … the Dodgers.
Lower right is a Los Angeles thing, with city hall (is it?) … and for sure, some palm trees in there.
Anyway, I still don’t like tattoos, especially sprawling ones … but this one is about as good as it can get. If you’re a Dodgers fan, of course.
