A few days ago, we noted the coverage in The National on the plan by Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways to come up with the defining first-class experience.
The one that apparently will cost $20,000 for a one-way flight to London.
Now, the Pan-Arabia Enquirer satire site has picked up the gantlet, and has suggested Etihad will go all out by placing an entire, 10-room house atop their jumbo jets, to give big-senders that super nice experience.
That would eclipse the coach to a bad, butler-led service Etihad is planning.
Not that Pan-Arabia is a serious news source. Everything it writes is a joke.
And part of the humor undoubtedly is this: If we no longer are surprised by anything a UAE business provides in the way of ridiculous ways to spend (this is the country of the gold-dispensing ATM, remember) …Â well, why not take it to some even more ridiculous level?
An entire 3,000-square-foot home perched atop n Airbus A380 would make the vehicle far less streamlined … but some Gulf consumer probably would pay to be involved.
Because that is how we roll, in the UAE.
