Band Names from Paris

July 22nd, 2008 · 2 Comments · Sports Journalism, The Sun

Sort of a running joke, during The Sun sports reunion in Las Vegas, were expressions that seemed to strike someone as a good name for a band. They were coming about one-an-hour, there for a while.

Some of those I remember … and feel free, homeboys and girls, to add more:

1. Half-Feral Tabby

2. Brown Star

3. Two Theories

4. Who Shot Sparky?

5. Black Death Tour

Gee, am I out already? There were a dozen more, minimum. Maybe other people have better memories for this than I do.

Some of these are obvious from the previous post, but…

    –Soft 20
    –Lucky Goiter
    –Comaneci!
    –Nastase!
    (ask Padilla about those two)

And a few leftovers from the original BandName file started in Atex all those many moons ago (let’s say, circa 1996. Damn, I wish I’d saved it):
    –Electric Baby Jesus
–Alcohol Funny Car (which we learned, while perusing the LAT Calendar listings one day, already had been claimed)

Being a blues fan, I’ve thought an ultra cool name for a blues band would be (& if someone wants to use this), the Blues Bards.
