And some days you are ticked off, or are eager to heap praise on someone, or second-guess someone else … and you run out of steam before you get around to it.
This is one of those days. So, we turn to The Onion, the satire magazine, and its recent item on Haiti bidding for the Olympic Games.
It’s not a real story, you know. It’s satire, remember?
Haiti is a mess, of course, and The Onion actually may be a bit optimistic in suggesting it would be ready to play host to a global event as soon as 2216. It’s almost here, you know?
Give it a look. It’s better than anything I was going to come up with in the 15 minutes I was willing to commit to this today.
