Here is an interesting but very long read from the New Yorker magazine about the decline in the print product of newspapers. It veers off to a long look at the Huffingtonpost website … but the main points — about the parasitical nature of almost all blogs toward the information gleaned/stolen/repurposed from newspapers’ original reporting, and the danger to an informed readership if/when the embattled newspapers go under … are worth the slog.
